Dvorak given “Extra Mile” Award

Watch Supervisor Sandy Dvorak was presented with the “Extra Mile” Award at the County Commission Meeting of November 27th.  Shown left to right are County Commissioner Jim Newell, Dvorak, Commission Chairman Steve Warner, County Commissioner Cliff Bales, and 911 Director John Tracy.

On January 1, 2018, Sumner County realigned EMS districts to provide for a quicker response to the citizens of the county.  This required an update to Emergency Services Numbers (ESNs) in the Master Street Addressing Guide, a tedious and time-consuming project.  Furthermore, Sandy invested countless hours ensuring the address points in our Master Street Addressing Guide were aligned with Sumner County’s GIS data.  This project was a segment of our migration to Next Generation 911.

Sandy performed these duties in addition to her assigned duties as a Shift Supervisor, and her efforts saved the citizens of Sumner County thousands of dollars in money that would have normally been spent hiring a private vendor to perform the work.  She definitely went “the extra mile” and is very deserving of the award.

Thank you Sandy for your dedication to the job, the County, and the citizens of Sumner County!
